Blastocystis hominis - vacuolar forms, Vf (has a central vacuole with 1 - 4 nuclei and 5 - 20 microns wide) and amoeboid form, Af (these forms inhabit the colon along with small avacuolar forms but may be overlooked because of their small size, 5 microns or because they degenerate after passage).
